On ChromeOS, images and files in the “Recent”, “Images”, “Videos”, and “Audio” folders are shown read-only.

Whenever you try to delete images in these folders, the “delete” option from right-click are greyed out, which means you won’t be able to delete them.

The files in “Recent”“Audio”, “Images”, etc, are normally stored somewhere. That’s why it is impossible to delete them from these folders.
