How to Uninstall OpenVas:

OpenVAS is a comprehensive vulnerability scanner developed by Greenbone.

It has different high-level and low-level internet and industrial protocols, performance tweaking for large-scale scanning, and vulnerability test.

The uninstall process removes the Openvas program files completely.

However, this process may not completely remove all of the Uninstaller files which are left behind on your computer after you uninstall Openvas.

The Uninstaller files are specific to each version of Openvas and they will remain in your Kali Linux Registry unless you correctly uninstall them.

Main features of OpenVAS

Automated Network Scanning

This feature allows you to scan networks for common vulnerabilities such as SQL injection attacks, cross-site scripting flaws or buffer overflows.

It will then generate an output detailing which hosts have been found vulnerable and how many vulnerabilities they had.

You can also choose to perform a “live scan” where all hosts are checked against each other in real-time without waiting for them to finish scanning first before reporting back results.
